Drama 8
Is an introductory course in creative dramatics with an emphasis on personal and social development, concentration, trust and co-operation. This course will familiarize students with the fundamentals of theatre, the basic elements of acting and how to prepare for roles through simple character development. Some limited exposure to script work will be introduced to wild group and/or ensemble work is emphasized throughout.

This course develops and extends students' knowledge, skills and attitudes through diverse experiences. Students are exposed to greater script work (monologues and scenes). Personal awareness and self discipline will continue to play an important role via group and/or ensemble work.

This course continues to develop knowledge, skills and attitudes necessary to explore ideas in a dramatic context at an intermediate level. Students will continue to build upon previous skills and are presented with increasingly challenging projects in script work. (Monologues, scenes and one-act plays).

Theatre Performance 11
Emphasis is placed on developing a deeper understanding of the elements of theatre at an advanced level. Students are presented with increasingly challenging projects; study the art of acting through interpretation, analysis and advanced characterization; and are presented with performance, technical and/or senior production management opportunities.

This course develops students' understanding of theatre elements at an advanced level. Students are expected to acquire the knowledge, skills and attitudes in theatre, which will enhance their personal education and career development. Theatre Performance 12 is a highly specialized course in the art of acting. Students are expected to perform at a superior level in any facet of acting, production management and/or technical theatre.

Theatre Performance 12 is a highly specialized course in the art of acting. Directing and Scriptwriting 11/12
This course focuses on drama as a performance art. Students must take on the creative and leadership role of Director and Scriptwriter. Students will work with fellow student actors in producing theatrical projects. Self assessment and reflective skills are developed as part of the rehearsal process and are used to evaluate the performances of self and others.

Theatre Company is for theatre performers. The course is intended to provide students with opportunities to experience the performing arts by applying and developing performance skills necessary to perform in and participate in presenting a large scale production to the local community at a highly polished level.

Theatre Production 9, 10,11 and 12 (audition or instructor approval required)
Theatre Production is for the theatre enthusiast. It allows students to learn about the nature of a theatre company and the interconnected roles and responsibilities of people who work within it. Students will learn how to design for the four main areas of theatre: Set, Costumes, Lights, and Sound. They will learn both the theory and also the hands-on skills for Theatre Production and Design. Students participate in an annual production as assistant directors, stage managers, props and costume coordinators and set builders, painters and decorators. Students will also take on ticket sales Publicity and front-of-house (FOH) duties.
